Reminiscent of fellow pop star Britney Spears in her "Oops!...I Did It Again" days, the clip is most certainly not short on choreography and futuristic backdrops. Ashley dons her iconic purple hair and tight white outfit as she sings the empowering lyrics, "Hey yeah whoa-ho, I'm on a roll/ Ridin' so high, achieving my goals."
With the new song, Ashley wants her fans to do just that -- work hard, ride high and achieve their goals. “It’s really important for people to feel like they’re in control of their own destiny, and that means having the confidence to be who you want to be," the singer said in a statement.
Ashley's longtime manager and aunt Catherine Ortiz added that the song is based off of Ashley's real life experiences, “The lyrics are so true. Ashley has worked very hard, and now she’s going to get what she deserves," she said.
What makes Ashley stand out from the rest is her creative process, as most of her songs are actually written in her dreams. “They’re kind of there in my mind while I’m sleeping, so when I wake up I have to really quickly write it down because I don’t want it to just disappear," Ashley stated.
"On A Roll" is the follow-up to another recent Ashley project, Ashley Too, the all-new, intelligent companion doll based on the star's actual personality.
