Kelly Clarkson dropped a goosebump-enducing video for her single “I Don’t Think About You” today (March 20). Prior to becoming one of the best-charting artists in the U.S., the singer has endured her fair share of hardships. Some of her lowest points are portrayed in the video via young Clarkson look-a-likes, including a rocky family situation during her childhood, a troubling boyfriend in her teen years and battling management as she entered the early stages of her career.
In-between flashback scenes, Clarkson belts out the falsetto runs with ease, standing on a platform in a stunning black gown. As the ghosts of her past surround her and eventually disappear, it's clear that Clarkson is proud of the woman she’s become and believes her hardships have made her strong. To the people who’ve hurt her in the past, she has one thing to say: “I don’t think about you.”
