Nicki Minaj shared her highly anticipated Queen album on Friday. After teasing the possible release of a video during an episode of Queen Radio, the Barbz leader delivered the fiery "Ganja Burn" video on Monday (Aug. 13). The project opener's visual treatment was helmed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
The clip kicks off with a few title cards explaining the story behind the video, where Nicki was the generous queen of an empire that had been overthrown by a close friend. Once she had enough rest, the story goes that the queen comes back to life stronger than ever, killing "everything in sight" for an all-out desert storm melee against her detractors.
Minaj fiercely moves throughout the sand-filled desert until meeting up with the rest of her tribe. They are then surrounded by a circle of fire, which looks to be a part of a ceremonial ritual. Nicki quickly morphs into more sophisticated attire fit for a true queen. During a later scene, she re-creates her majestic album cover, which was also designed by video directors Alas and Piggott.
