The robotic clip is directed by Mike Diva. Lil Nas X pops up wherever the video's female lead looks, as she travels throughout the futuristic Tokyo scene used as the artwork for his 7 project. From the city to the airplane, she just can't rid herself of the 20-year-old. The girl finally cracks a smile at the end of the clip, when fluorescent trees begin to sprout around the downtown skyscrapers.
Nas X made his award show performance debut in August at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, as the "Old Town Road" artist danced his way through "Panini." The choreography and costume themes actually gave fans a peek into what to expect from the music video.
