"Electricity" is a soulful, piano-laced cut inspired by classic Chicago house and features Lipa's gospel-like vocals. The song is co-written by The xx singer/guitarist Romy Madley-Croft and singer-songwriter Diana Gordon, who co-wrote Beyoncé's collaboration with Jack White, "Don't Hurt Yourself," off the singer's Lemonade album.

Silk City has also released the official music video for "Electricity." Directed by Bradley & Pablo, the steamy visual is set during the famous New York City blackout of 1977 and shows Dua Lipa tearing up a sweaty summer loft party.
